Lammerding Ranch Vineyard
Dick and Nancy Lammerding
We plowed in 1999, built our vineyard's rather extensive drainage and irrigation system and planted in 2000 - a turn of the century vineyard.
Lammerding Ranch Vineyard is uniquely blessed being the first vineyard over the ridge from Lake Sonoma. Its location, where the westerly to south-westerly breezes are flowing during the growing season, whose terroir benefits from both the evening cooling from the Pacific, and the additional effect from Lake Sonoma. This unique effect adds to the prime terroir of its soils, elevation and sun to produce an ideal growing location for our Cabernet Sauvignon.

Van Alyea Vineyards
Van Alyea Ranch has been owned by the Van Alyea family since 1992, when it was the estate vineyard for Lambert Bridge Winery. Due to phylloxera, the entire vineyard was replanted over the next decade using modern trellising systems to bring maximum sun exposure to the fruit to enhance and intensify flavors.
We grow Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Syrah grapes, all of which are well suited to the soils and temperature of the mid-valley location. The vineyard is adjacent to Dry Creek, with it's gravelly loam soil which makes the vines work harder for their nutrition. We have in our employ Alberto Silva Gonzales as our vineyard foreman. He has been in vineyard management all of his adult life, and has developed all of the skills needed to grow top quality winegrapes. |
